If you would like a very special Christmas or New Years break.  At Abhainn Ri we have lovely cosy cottages with log burning stoves and specially decorated for the season.  You can enjoy freedom to wander on the farm and enjoy country life.

We now have two lovely ponies.  We are trying to think of names and my sister thinks we should call them Maude & Kitty after two of our famous ladies in history.

A Special Day at Abhainn Rí

Wow!  Today we awoke to a great surprise.  Our donkey Péig had a little foal.  He is just a miniture version of her and really cute.

We still need to think of a name so watch this post for updates.   The children staying at the cottages love the donkeys and this will be a great surprise over the next couple of weeks.

New Arrivals

Abhainn Ri Donkeys

We would like to welcome are two new donkeys which just arrived last week.   We decided to call them Pastí agus Péig.  Children visiting the cottages are welcome to come a see the donkeys in their little paddock.

Spring is in the air the lambs are arriving and the daffodils are in full bloom. We have just finished refurbishing our lovely self cateirng cottages in Co Wicklow for the 2009 season
